Seeking, Searching & Remote Viewing Mankind alone amongst the beasts demonstrably examines and actively seeks to understand and quantify his existence. Until he examines the physical, spiritual and mental as an integrated whole, the Question will not be answered. Until viewed wholistically, any answers can make no sense because the Questions themselves are not understood. -- Craig Berry |

In days [mostly] long gone, the success & viability of a community could be laid - in part at least -at the Shaman's feet. Their role, amongst others, was to seek game and direct the hunters where to venture to intercept that valuable and necessary food source. In societies where these hunting places could be many day's walk, the accuracy of their shaman was vital to prevent wasted efforts and lost opportunities. The shaman also communed with the spirits of the animals upon which their people relied and placed species and/or region specific quotas and bans at certain times for the conservation of the web of life in which they existed.
Orthodox Experiments in Remote Viewing Many experiments have been conducted into remote viewing, including by most major military and governmental entities. The inescapable conclusions drawn have been so far outside of anecdotal and chance results that these seers have confirmed their ability to project their awareness into areas and regions that they have never been. An interesting aside is the lack of time awareness in this process; a temporal paradox. One experiment mentioned in, "Down the Rabbit Hole" described a seer accurately mentioning where his target was, but also describing two towers in the same scene which were knocked down 50 years prior. The shaman of a people had to have this extra layer of linear time awareness to not send his people on a week's walk in the wrong direction to a place where the game had been plentiful years before. Clear and accurate remote viewing is a function of both natural talent and training. Whilst seeking is no longer required for locating game (shops and super-markets don't roam too far these days!), some aspects of these skills remain very valid. In some cases, those most effective at soul retrievals are also naturally gifted at seeking. Seeking and remote viewing needs its practitioner to remain in the middle world, most closely analogous to the physical world. Another shamanic function is that of calling. Calling is a process where a practitioner literally communes with the spirit of an animal and asks it to come to a place. The Native Americans amongst others practiced this extensively in some regions, as have most plains dwelling peoples. Whilst still an amazing skill, far less reliance is placed upon this function in modern days. Safari guides etc. should be doing their best to secure the services of shamanic callers to preserve these skills and make their jobs far easier. |
